This is the British Aphid Class. The boat is scratch built with fittings, guns and crew by Lyzard Grin, Copplestone and others. Lift wood panels and floors were fitted from Wills Plastic Card. The ship has a wooden 'keel' for strength with the body shape built up from 1mm and 2mm plastic sheet and car body filler. The steam boiler comes from an '00' scale locomotive. Ralings are from nickel silver wire.
