The Ranger is an American ship, based on a Martian hull, retrofitted with a basic steam engine (a Dapol kit of a Stephenson's Rocket). The boat is based on a Star Wars model with heavy conversion. Floors and lift wood panels were fitted from Wills Plastic Card. Fittings, guns and crew come from by Lyzard Grin, Foundry, Copplestone and others. It is similar in design to the Texas but has extra sponsons with additional guns mounted.
